Wedding and Vow Renewal Ceremonies
"My fiancé (now wife) and I came across Trish from I Do, Too while searching for an officiant and we couldn’t be happier with our choice!! First, let me start with the fact that we are a same sex couple and we were specifically looking for someone to marry us who would not only agree to perform the ceremony (not all officiants will perform same sex marriages), but would do so HAPPILY without making us feel any different than any other couple—we found exactly that in Trish.
On her [WeddingWire.com] website there are many pictures of her officiating weddings, but I couldn’t help but notice a prominently displayed picture of her doing a lesbian wedding which really made us feel like she was truly all inclusive and catered to everyone. After emailing back and forth, she set up a time to speak to both of us on the phone and get to know our story and US—as people. We really felt like she CARED about us and that this wasn’t just a job for her, but something that she enjoyed and loved doing. She was so helpful in the planning process by sending us sample passages of readings, poems, and different versions of vows that we could read through and select our favorites. I enjoyed that it wasn’t just a simple “one-size-for-all” wording used during the ceremony and I liked having a little say and choice in what she would say during the ceremony. Although, if you prefer a more hands-off approach, Trish is more than capable to handle the wording on her own—I just preferred to be very involved in the process.
As for the ceremony itself, Trish was a lot of fun! We had a rather strange request for Trish during the ceremony which was to hold up and present a pair of handcuffs to our friends and families which we then used to handcuff ourselves to each other. Trish had no hesitation in agreeing to our special request and seemed to love the idea!
All in all, Trish was great to work with—She was prompt in replying to emails, had plenty of samples of vows and readings during the ceremony for her to read that we could pick and choose from, showed real interest in getting to know us and our story, and showed up early for the ceremony handled all the paperwork efficiently. She was incredibly professional yet relaxed and competent and I can’t recommend her enough. You really can’t go wrong with her, and it also was heartwarming to know that she offered a discount to military and first responders, which just goes to show how much she values people. Hire her NOW!!"

"First let me say on behalf of my wife and I, we thank Trish so much for her kindness and attention to details. She was truly amazing. I apologize in advance if this may be too long, but Trish deserves it.
Pros:
1. Punctual - Trish was extremely punctual; always on time, if not early. During this stressful time it's refreshing to have someone stick to their word and be available when needed.
2. Pleasant Attitude - I don't remember a time where we saw Trish and she did not have a smile on her face; extremely warm and welcoming.
3. Professionalism - Trish made sure all paperwork was submitted within a timely fashion. She followed up with any corrections very quickly. She offered multiple methods of payments and was very flexible with the terms. From the beginning of the process to the end, she was available. She even had recommendations for counseling to keep us strong within our faith and a strong bond to keep our love strong during any times of doubt or stress. She also had a variety of robes and color schemes, coordination was important in our color scheme. She took direction very well and gave us a perfect wedding ceremony. She was very clear and thorough in her directions during the rehearsal and made things really smooth that we were out earlier than expected. That helped since we were tired and burned out and I was in a lot of pain from a procedure during the week.
4. Genuinely invested - You have to understand, my wife and I had one date set for 12/07/2018. Then I became very I'll and we had to postpone. Trish was with us the whole way. We set a date again for 3/09/2019 and I ended up having a surgical procedure three days before my wedding. She reached out to my wife for support and was genuinely concerned. It wasn't just a gig to Trish. That made me feel like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I'm one of those who don't really express myself and stay bottled up type people. So writing this review is not the norm for me, but I just needed to say some things and I hope people really hear and feel my words. Throughout the whole process she was just very engaged in what was needed to keep us strong. She really got us through to that day. I wouldn't have chosen anyone else.
Cons:
The only con I can think of is that we didn't have enough time. Trish is like your favorite aunt you see during Christmas that really puts you in the holiday spirit. You can't wait for her to arrive and you dread when she has to leave. Her spirit is so welcoming you just feel like a part of the family."
